Box 2510
Los Ju geles 53, Calif.

November 10, 1952

Colorado Water Conservation Board,
State Building,
Denver, Colorado

Att.: Mr. Jean Breitenstein

Gentlemen:

It is with deep regret that I read of the passing of you.r c.L,~;':i;",,,uished
Director, Judge Clifford S'.;one. A finer type of public scrE.,t r have
never met. He was true to his trust and very capable.

In my several visits with lum in his Denver office he always manifested
a desir~ to be fair with sister States, but rigidly insisted on protecting
the rights of the citizens of Colorado. He was kind in his dealings
with his fellow men. I ,have often told my wonderful wife that I would
rather be kind than clever; and in so thinking I cannot help remembering
the fine nature of J~dge Stone who will live on and on in my memory,

Judge Stone reflected o~ many of God's perfect ideas, that it may seem
out of place to ask God's blessings on him, for, I think he was abundant~
blessed by his Creator in being possessed of such a fine character.

Colorado has lost a fine public servant, and the people of the sister
States have lost a noble friend, but those of us who knew him rejoice
that we were fortunate enough to have felt his kindly touch.

Sincere~ yours,

/s/ Andrae Nordskog, President of
The Southwest Water League.
