The <br />objective of the Yampa Valley Alliance is <br />to enhance recreational and related <br />economic opportunities in the Yampa River <br />Valley by improving access and <br />utilization of existing assets such as <br />trails, scenic byways, river access and <br />parks. Mr. Birkner will speak about the <br />activities of the Alliance to date and <br />the plans for the future. <br /> <br />Lunch <br /> <br />Reconvene <br /> <br />Yampa River wild & scenic study, <br />Senator Hank Brown (invited) <br />Bob Moore, BLM (invited) <br /> <br />The CRWCD is concerned about the motivation <br />and direction of the current study by BLM <br />which may lead to amendment of the Little <br />Snake Resource Area RMP to recommend <br />designation of portions of the Yampa and <br />Little Snake Rivers under the wild and Scenic <br />Rivers Act. A discussion will be held on the <br />need, progress and impacts of the study. <br /> <br />Cross Mountain Wilderness, Senator Hank Brown <br />Bob Moore, BLM <br /> <br />The CRWCD is concerned about the process which <br />may result in a modification the Little Snake <br />Resource Area Resource Management Plan to <br />include Cross Mountain as a Wilderness Area in <br />light of the original determination of <br />unsuitability. A discussion will be held on <br />the process, procedure, impacts and progress <br />of the potential designation of Cross Mountain <br />as wilderness. <br /> <br />Adjourn <br />
