Unusual dam feamres include an overhang on the Jo\\.n.'lotream f:.lce. <br />an undercut on the upstream face. unusual thickness. and four large opening.'lo neM the top of the <br />dam for a spillw:JY. <br /> <br />The spillway consists of four 15 by 15 foot submerg.ed orifice openings through the top central <br />portion of t.he dam. e:lch controlled by a 15 by 16.83-foot fi.ted-whet:! gate. The splllw:lY <br />discharge falls about 365 feet into a stilling basin at the tIX of the d:lffi.
