Who is signing the Agreement in concept'? <br /> <br />SJWC, Animas-La Plata Water Conservancy District. U Mountain Ute <br />Tribe, Southem Ute Tribe. La Plala Conservancy DIstrict <br /> <br />2. Is the Agreement the final word on this issue? <br /> <br />No. There will be: <br />(1) discussion at the Romer/Schoettler Animas L Plata Process. <br />probably after July 31, the deadline set by Lt Gov. Schoettler <br />for each side (proponents and opponents) t present its best <br />proposal for a revised Animas-La Plala Proi ct, <br />(2) substantive legislation In the Congress, whi will be subject <br />to the full legislative process, and pess bly hearings in <br />Washington, <br />(3) an agreement modifying the Colorado Ute In Ian Water Rights <br />Final Agreement from 1986, <br />(4) a MOU to manage construction of the proj ct by the Indian <br />tribes, and <br />(5) an agreement to manage the project. unde the Repayment <br />Contract's provision for the Project Coordi ating Committee <br />(Article 4). <br /> <br />All of these agreements will be subject to public debate S d review. and of <br />course any hearings would be open. <br /> <br />3.
