<br />'.~.~ <br />",j <br />...-\ <br /> <br />."':) <br /> <br />Sampling Levels <br /> <br />,.--, <br /> <br />Three sampling levels are discussed for each unit. <br /> <br />Grand Valley sampling levels are: <br /> <br />Level 1 sampling would include mapping 50 agricultural units by habitat type <br /> <br />prior to installation of conservation practices, with 2 follow-up mappings to <br /> <br />determine changes. A file will be maintained for each sample site, as will <br /> <br />photographic documentation. <br /> <br />Level 2 sampling would include the same as above except 75 units will be type <br /> <br />mapped. <br /> <br />Level 3 sampling would include the same as above except 100 units will be <br /> <br />type mapped. Habitat quality for selected species will be estimated. <br /> <br />Uinta Basin sampling levels are: <br /> <br />Level 1 (Low) <br /> <br />HEP - 5 year frequency - minimum 30 sites <br />Vegetative analysis - 5 year frequency - (same sites as for HEP) <br />Landsat - 7 year frequency <br />Farm fence rows, ditches, etc., build to 30 sites, sample every five <br />years <br /> <br />Level 2 (Medium) <br /> <br />HEP - 3 year frequency - minimum 50 sites <br />Vegetative analysis - 3 year frequency - (same sites as for HEP) <br />Landsat - 5 year frequency <br />F arm fence rows, ditches, etc., build to 50 sites, sample every three <br />years <br /> <br />Level 3 (High) <br /> <br />liEP - 2 year frequency - minimum 50 sites <br />Vegetative analysis - 2 year frequency (same 50 sites as for HEP) <br />Landsat - 5 year frequency <br />Farm fence rows, ditches, etc., build to 50 sites, sample every other <br />year <br />Terrestrial and aquatIc populations - one year frequency. <br /> <br />40 <br />
