<br /> <br />A complete flood control program should be implemented as soon as possible. This <br />would include: flood plain regulation; flood proofing; watershed projects; and flood control <br />programs. <br /> <br />Land treatment measures and programs need to be accelerated. Sediment deposition and <br />occurrence is a major problem in the basin. <br /> <br />A more complete water quality data collection program, should be developed to ensure <br />the maintenance of presently adequate water supplies and the improvement of those found <br />inadequate or unsafe. <br /> <br />A more aggressive educational program in the area of irrigation water management <br />should be pursued. <br /> <br />Recreation and fish and wildlife conservation facilities should be considered for <br />incorporation into all state and federal development projects. <br /> <br />7 <br />
