The pumps and
canal will then be winterized. During December and January, river
releases are expected to average 7 ft3/s to bring Willow Creek Reservoir
storage to 8,000 acre-feet by the end of January.

Lake Granbv-East Slooe Terminal StoraQe

Storage in Lake Granby of 295,800 acre-feet at the beginning of the water
year was 71 percent of the 1960-1989 average. Terminal storage on the
east slope was 113 percent of normal.

From November 5 through November 20, Shadow Mountain Reservoir will be
drawn down for aquatic weed control purposes. Adams Tunnel diversions
during this period will be limited to native inflow minus minimum required
fish releases, and the total diversion for November should approximate
2,300 acre-feet. No pumping to Carter Lake will occur during this draw
down of Shadow Mountain Reservoir, but releases from Carter Lake will be
scheduled to meet the minimum flow to Horsetooth Reservoir, if necessary.

About 80,800 acre-feet of water will be diverted to the east slope during
the October-January peri od. Thi s amount would be 94 percent of the
average. All of this diversion except for 700 acre-feet will be pumped
to Shadow Mountain Reservoir from Lake Granby. A total of
36,800 acre-feet of water will be pumped to Carter Lake from October
through January. By the end of January, the storage in Carter Lake is
expected to total approximately 86,600 acre-feet and 115,700 acre-feet in
Horsetooth Reservoir.
