Suile 300 <br />Durango CO 8JJOI-S47S <br /> <br />WCG- TStroh <br />ENV-7.00 <br /> <br />Subject: Draft Environmental AssessmerU for Morrow p.9.int Trash RackSleaning Project <br /> <br />Dear Agency, Organization or Interested Party: <br /> <br />Enclosed is a draft environmental assessment (EA) for a proposed trash rack cleaning project at <br />Morrow Point Dam. <br /> <br />The draft EA reviews the proposed action of lowering the water surface elevation at Morrow <br />Point Reservoir, from 7,160 feet to 7,129 feet, beginning in August 2002 to facilitate cleaning of <br />the Morrow Point Power Plant's inlet trash racks. A dive team would be used to remove the trash <br />and debris from the trash racks. <br /> <br />Reclamation requests written comments on the proposed action to be sent to the Bureau of <br />Reclamation.
