approve as flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report which
are subject to an intermediate regional flood; and

~fJHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4), Colorado Revised statutes 1963,
requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate and
approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such designa-
tions available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and

WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963,
provides that cities, towns, counties and local jurisdictions may pro-
vide zoning regulations for any storm or flood water runoff channel
only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation
Board;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conserva-
tion Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado this 18th
day of January, 1973, that it does hereby rescind that portion of the
resolution adopted on December 13, 1967 relating to the flood hazard
areas set forth in the previous information reports covering Bear Creek
and Clear Creek, insofar as such resolution pertains to Bear Creek: and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Colorado Water Conservation
Board does hereby designate and approve as flood hazard areas those
areas described as being inundated by an intermediate regional flood
as set forth in the Special Flood Hazard Information Report prepared
and submitted by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers covering Bear Creek,
dated December. 1972: and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of this Board is
directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the Board of
County Commissioners for Jefferson County, to the Lakewood City Council,
to the Sheridan City Council, to the Mayor of the City and County of
Denver, and to the Urban Flood Control and Drainage District.
