S. Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, has <br />completed a Flood Plain Information Report. Bear Creek and Mount \~ <br />Vernon Creek, Morrison, Colorado, dated October 1971; and ~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report outlines and <br />describes the flood water runoff channels within the above described <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such <br />designation available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood <br />water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the City of Morrison has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the flood hazard <br />areas as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. Corps of Engineers Flood <br />Plain Information Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />Plain Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as <br />flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being <br />subject to an intermediate regional flood; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado <br />this 15th day of December, 1971, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as flood hazard areas those areas described as being inundated <br />by an intermediate regional flood as set forth in the Flood Plain <br />Information Report for Bear Creek and Mount Vernon Creek, Colorado, <br />dated October 1971; and <br />
