<br />President on May 18, "1972. He was elected to 'his
<br />lifth term on May 19, 1977,

<br />on a ranch in Chaffee Co lint}', and was recognized'
<br />by e"eryone wh'o knew him, as one of the outstanding.

<br />Colorado delegation on the Four States Interstate
<br />Committee, representing water interests in the States
<br />of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado. They.
<br />were serving as rnembers of the Interstate Committee
<br />at the time of their deaths.

<br />The District, the State and the Nalion lost the
<br />services of two outstanding" water authorities on Sep-
<br />lember 23,1977, but the good works they accomplish.
