It occurs
largely in years of high runoff such as 1915, 1921, 1923, 1924, and 1942.
Additional useable water (for municipal purposes) due to more efficient use
of the water yielded by Wurtz Project.
Wurtz Ditch importation (2,000 AF) plus 15,000 AF project water.
Estimated as 70 per cent of 15,000 acre-feet roject water diverted. Of these
diversions, about 10,000 acre-feet are for municipalities located along
Arkansas River and about 5,000 acre-feet for Colorado Springs and Eads
located on tributaries.
Additional imports made possible by provision of additional storage capacity
in Twin Lakes Reservoir and replacement storage in Aspen Reservoir.
Estimated winter flow nm~ being diverted for direct flow use which could be
stored in Pueblo Reservoir, by agreement, vdthout depleting winter inflow
to John Martin Reservoir,
Determined from Reservoir operation study, distribution bo Items based on
operating assumptions.
The virgin 1'later supply plus use and reuse of return flow. Except for re-
regulated 1'dnter fl~1 the headgate supply is estimated at 1.5 times the
virgin supply.

(6)
(7)

(8)
(9)

(-;)~
~rc
