Releases were increased from 8,000 cfs on September 4, 2000 at 9 p.m. at a rate <br />of 4,000 cfs per hour until power plant capacity was reached (approximately 30,500cfs). <br />Releases were held at plant capacity until September 8, 2000 at 3 p.m. when releases were <br />reduced, at a rate of 1,500 cfs per hour, until releases were back to 8,000 cfs. Releases are <br />scheduled to remain at 8,000 cfs for the remainder of September. <br /> <br />Additional information on low summer steady flow test releases at Glen Canyon can be found at <br />www.uc.usbr.gov{pao{lowfIow.htm!. <br /> <br />Test releases are scheduled to be completed at the end of September. In October, releases are <br />scheduled to return to the pattern of low fluctuating flows. Releases in October will likely <br />average about 9,000 cfs. Daily fluctuations will likely vary between a low of about 6,500 cfs to <br />a high of about 11,500 cfs during October. <br />
