FWS, BR, and Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW) personnel are
continuing to monitor and evaluate unit effects on associated fish and wildlife
resources.

Progress is being made with regard to the pilot revegetation program in Stage
One of the Grand Valley Unit. In a March 20, 1984, memorandum, the BR
concurred that such an experimental program would be useful. The Moss Screen
site on the Highline Canal has been identified for the program and revegetation
plans were completed during August 1984.

During the June 5-6, 1984, meeting of the Colorado River Interagency Salinity
Control Committee in Grand Junction, Colorado, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
representatives participated in the field tour of the Grand Valley Stage I
Unit. During the tour Service personnel identified project features and
associated issues and concerns for the tour participants including pre and post
project wetland conditions, revegetation or shelter belt possibilities, deer
escape structures and other measures to offset wildlife and wildlife habitat
losses.

~~

GlenwQod-Dotserso
No FWS activities have occurred on this Unit since the last report.

"

;lL

.- ,

~" " ;i.'. i,-",.,o'.i< .;.',

t.~.--:;j
_ ~ _.-,,-~--;i,._if\ -.:1.,--~~
