<br />62. Livestock. - One of the most important industries in Las Anims
<br />
<br />County is livestock raising. The early ranchers used the large area of
<br />
<br />grazing land primrily for running cattle and sheep and large ranches are
<br />
<br />still in existence. The livestock industry is associated with irrigation
<br />
<br />and dry-land farming and depends mainly on approximately two and one-half
<br />
<br />million acres of grazing land in the county. Table 3 shows the kind and
<br />
<br />numbor of livestock in Las hnims county; as taken from U. S. Census
<br />
<br />Bureau records.
