<br />PARSHALL PROJECT, COLORADO <br /> <br />.'.1 <br /> <br />would receive additional water from the tributary streams mentioned and <br />the water would be replaced from the canal to the lower lands on which <br />it is n01v used. <br /> <br />The Big Lake ditch which diverts westward frOll! 1-Tilliams Fork River <br />about 7 miles below the Ute Park Reservoir site provides water for the <br />largest block of land presently irrigated in the Williams River basin. <br />The Parshall Flats Canal with a capacity of 30 second-feet would branch <br />from the Big Lake ditch a few hundred feet below the ditch head, cross <br />Williams Fork River 'by siphon, and continue northeast about 8 miles, pro- <br />viding water for presently dry lands located northeast of the Williams <br />Fork Reservoir. Irrigation laterals and drains would be provided as <br />needed, but existing facilities would be used for project purposes so <br />far as practicable. <br /> <br />The locations of project works and lands are shown on the frontis- <br />piece map.
