The entire test well <br />program is scheduled to be completed by <br />1990. <br /> <br />Coordination <br /> <br />Ongoing efforts with USDA have <br />increased substantially since they have <br />~become an equal partner In the salinity <br />program effort. This work has made <br />considerable progress in allowing the cost <br />effectiveness of the two programs to be <br /> <br />compared, as well as the results of the two <br />programs. <br />This effort will be further enhanced when a <br />Department of Agriculture employee is <br />located in Reclamation's Water Quality <br />Office. That employee is expected to be on- <br />board in the next few weeks and will be <br />responsible for overall coordination with the <br />seven River Basin states, SCS West National <br />Technical Gente" and other local, Stab!, <br />Federal agencies, committees, and work <br />groups. <br /> <br />..,:.. <br /> <br />COLa. <br /> <br />Elmo Creek Unit <br /> <br />NEW <br />MEX. <br /> <br />Fish and Wildlife Plans <br />Grand Valley Unit, Stage One <br /> <br />The fish and wildlife plans for Stage One of <br />the Grand Valley Unit are being reviewed by <br />the Fish and Wildlife Service to confirm the <br />Stage One recanmendations. The current <br />plans are to acquire, develop, and maintain <br />wildlife habitat along the river, and to <br />revegetate disturbed areas. <br />A wildlife pond, earlier planned for <br />construction immediately north of the <br />Highline Canal, is no longer desired because <br /> <br />GPO 847 -"'35 <br />
