<br />This report is a compilation of water and related land resource studies,
<br />projects, and other activities scheduled to take place between fiscal years 1981
<br />and 1985. It includes infor;nation on State and Federal activi ties, as ~ll as
<br />regional and cooperative efforts.
<br />
<br />The ~State and Federal Program Review,. as this re?Jrt is com:nonly called,
<br />is conducted by authority of policy Statement E, which was adopted by consensus
<br />of the Missouri River Basin Commission at its May 1977 meeting. This directive
<br />is aimed at coordinating water resource activities within the ~issouri River
<br />Basin. By reporting on scheduled activities of State, Federal, and regional
<br />agencies. the Commission hopes to provide all involved with a regional
<br />perspective of the water-related work that is being conducted in the basin.
<br />
<br />The information contained in these volumes was provided by Commission
<br />members, their agencies. and other agency contacts. The Commission staff has
<br />asked me to acknowledge the time and effort spent by those individuals. Their
<br />participation makes this report fX)ssible.
<br />
<br />Because of the time and expense involved with 'report preparation, these
<br />volumes did not appear in draft for:n. The infor:nation is updated on a continual
<br />basis although the review report is published only once a year. Please advise
<br />Canmission staff of any changes that should be made.
<br />
