copies of a prelininarJ' draft of plannin:; report and appendices dated June

you requested t:le 3tate to r ovie':l the re:"ort in its present forn and favor

you rrith its cor.u~ents in order that they could be considered together rrith

comments by the various Bureau of ReclaQation offices to assist you in the

preparation of the report in final form for transmittal to the Commissioner

of Reclamation and the Secretary of the Interior.

Pursuant to action of the Colorado ,,;ater Conservation Board, a

Policy and Revievl Committee was organized on November 24, 1948, to review

the draft of report. This Committee has met at various times to consider

the report, its appendices and the subsequent studies made available by your

organization. Sufficient agreement had been reached by the Committee on

certain factual matters that at its meeting on January 3 and 4, 1950, the

Committee decided to recomr.lend that J'our report be prepared in final form and

that it incorporate the suc:;estions containcd in this letter.

Durin:; the course of reviffi1 you also nade available to the Committee

a draft of a special report dated :jeptenber 1949 which incorporated changes

by the Bureau. That special report has been reviewled also U,y the Committee.
