Separate asSessments by the
FWS were prepared for the General Contractor--"potential Effects of the
Alternative Water Management Strategies on Fish and Wildlife Resources",
dated November 1981--and for the U.S. Army Corps of En9ineers in a series of
reports on the alternative water transfer routes being assessed by the
Corps* .

The Corps' own environmental assessment of the four alternative water
transfer options investigated, with appropriate reference to the respective
FWS reports, are contained in the Corps' Report "Water Transfer Elements of
the Hi gh Pl ai ns-Oga 11 al a Aquifer Regi ona 1 Resources Study", draft report
dated January 1982.

Separate envi ronmenta 1 and soci oeconomi c assessment studi es were con-
ducted by each of the six study states as part of the state level "A" - series
of reports. In addition, a large number of local, state and federal agencies
and organizations were contacted for supportive information and assistance
durin9 the B-4 regional assessment.
