<br />-5- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />In 1983, Mexico's pumping from its San Luis Mesa well field within five miles <br />(eight ,kilometers) of the boundary near San Luis amounted to 18,190 acre feet <br />(22,437,000 cubic meters). Pumps and motors have been installed on all wells. <br />The USBR advised that up to 19 of the 21 wells were pumped during 1983. <br /> <br />The Commission is continuing, under Minute No. 242, its program for exchange of <br />groundwater data for the major groundwater basins lying partly in the United <br />States and partly in Mexico including the Colorado River delta area. The objec- <br />tive of the exchange is to make available hydrologic, geologic, and water <br />quality data in either country, to both Sections of the Commission to enable <br />definition of existing or potential problems. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />*Data to be supplied later. <br />
