<br />" ' <br />\ ~' <br /> <br />NCWCD and Colorado River District Issues-FYI I've attached for your <br />information a letter from Eric Kuhn, Colorado River Water Conservation District <br />(River District), discussing his take on the ~oncerns raised by the River District <br />regarding the operation of the Colorado-Bigi Thompson Project (C-BT Project). In <br />an effort to stay in good communication! with the Northern Colorado Water <br />Conservancy District (NCWCD), Southeastern District staff and board members <br />met with NCWCD board members during the Colorado Water Congress Annual <br />meeting. To date there's nothing in this River District/NCWCD issue that directly <br />affects the Southeastern District, but we'll stay on top of it. <br /> <br />,Pending/Ongoing Items- <br />1. O&M Transfer Feasibility Study- work in progress <br /> <br />Legislative Matters <br /> <br />Federal Legislative Issues <br /> <br />Limbaugh to Work for Reclamation--Former President of the <br />Family Farm Alliance, Mark Limbaugh, has been chosen as Director of External <br />and Intergovernmental Affairs for the Bureau of Reclamation (see attached news <br />release). Mark's position with Reclamation will be a great asset to local project <br />sponsors like the Southeastern District arid to irrigated agriculture, I have a call <br />into Mark to congratulate him on his appointment. <br /> <br />6 <br />
