<br />. . <br /> <br />F: \M6\MCINNI\MCINNI.32A <br /> <br />H.L.C. <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />1 the State of Colorado as necessary to fulfill the <br /> <br />2 purposes of this Act; or <br />3 (B) affect any vested absolute or decreed <br />4 conditional water rights in existence before the <br />5 date of the enactment of this Act, including any <br />6 water rights held by the United States. <br />7 (2) STUDY.-The Secretary shall conduct a <br />8 study of the hydrologic regime to identify options for <br />9 managing or changing the use of those water rights <br />10 referred to in paragraph (1) so as to minimize ad- <br />11 verse effects down stream. <br /> <br />12 (c) TREATMENT OF NATIONAL MONUMENT WATER <br />13 RIGHTS.-To the extent water rights have been estab- <br />14 lished or acquired by the United States for the Great Sand <br />15 Dunes National Monument, the water rights shall be con- <br />16 sidered of equal use and value for the Great Sand Dunes <br />17 National Park and shall retain their priority and purpose <br />18 when included in the national park. <br />19 (d) WATER RIGHTS AND WATER RESOURCES ON <br />20 LUIS :MARIA BACA GRANT No. 4.-If and to the e:h.'tent <br /> <br />21 the Luis M.aria Baca Grant No. 4 is acquired by the <br />22 United States- <br /> <br />23 (1) any water rights and water resources associ- <br />24 ated with the Luis Maria Baca Grant No.4 shall be <br /> <br />25 restricted for use-- <br /> <br />March 27, 2000 (10:02 AM) <br />1=.\\/fi\n~?7nm(l~?7nn rli? <br />
